Jewish/Christian Studies North and South to begin
BOARDMAN — Jewish/Christian Studies North and South will begin a series of sessions in September.
The South programs are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 3 and 17 at Ohev Tzedek Congregation, 5245 Glenwood Ave. Future program dates will be decided.
The sessions will focus on “The Book of Ben Sirach,” and what the book can teach about the Jewish community that existed before the coming of the Common Era and Christian writings.

The North study programs are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10, Oct. 29, Nov. 19 and Dec. 17 and in 2009, Jan. 21, Feb. 18, March 18 and April 22, all at Kravitz Delicatessen, 3135 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Those who wish may meet for Dutch treat lunch at 1 p.m.
The study will focus on “What empowers negative attitudes desiring the destruction of others in the name of God.”
