Golfers will scramble to raise funds for agency

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. — Area golfers will have an opportunity to participate in the Second Annual End of Summer Golf Spectacular scheduled for Thursday at the Oak Tree Country Club, 48 Stateline Road, West Middlesex, Pa., as a fundraiser by the Family Service Agency.

Activities will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m. Those signing up will have access to the driving range, and there will be a luncheon.

Play, in the form of a scramble, will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., and the event will end with a dinner at 6.

The cost is $100 per golfer and will include 18 holes of golf, a cart, and prizes for skills events such as closest-to-the pin, a hole-in-one and the longest drive.

Guests may attend the dinner only for $25.

Anniversary event

Proceeds from the outing will benefit the clients and programs of the Family Service Agency, a nonprofit, multiservice social service agency that is celebrating its 100th year of serving families in the Mahoning Valley.
