Open house planned by LAOH division

BOARDMAN —The Junior Division of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians will conduct an open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 17 at the AOH Hall, 5110 Southern Blvd., for prospective members, junior members and anyone interested in the organization.

Membership is open to Catholic girls 6 to 18 years old who are Irish by birth, descent or adoption. The purpose of the juniors is to promote a love of Irish history, literature and music, and to show loyalty and respect for the Catholic faith, the United States of America, their families and each other.

The Junior Division won second prize for their scrap book at the AOH-LAOH National Convention in New Orleans. The $150 award was donated to the Omagh Youth Choir.
