NYC Shoptober shuttle is scholarship fundraiser

BOARDMAN — The Nancy L. Weimer Memorial New York City Shoptober Shuttle has been planned as a fundraiser for the Nancy L. Weimer Memorial Scholarship.

Departure time will be 6 p.m. Oct. 17, and the return will begin at 11 a.m. Oct. 19.

The cost per person will be $315 (four in a room); $370 (three in a room), and $480, (two in a room). The fee will include the bus trip, two nights at the Radisson Martinique Hotel on Broadway and a donation to the Nancy L. Weimer Scholarship Fund, which was established through Boardman Local Schools in celebration of the life of Weimer, who died after suffering a brain tumor.

Each year $750 educational scholarships are awarded two Boardman High School seniors. The 2008 recipients are Brittany Cerimele and Joy Mistovich.
