L.U.N.A. to present scholarships, award
YOUNGSTOWN — Latinas United Networking Association will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a scholarship fundraiser dinner and wine and champagne taste from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, 3801 Shady Run Road.

During the evening, individual scholarships of $500 each will be presented to three Latin students, Nicole Rodriguez, a freshman studying marine biology at Youngstown State University; Ryan Colon, a sophomore in neuroscience and African-American studies at Oberlin College; and Sarah Navarro, a sophomore majoring in business at John Carroll University.
The La Estrella de L.U.N.A. award will be presented to Carmen Lydia Molina of Campbell in recognition of her positive impact in the Hispanic community.
L.U.N.A. is a nonprofit organization of professional Hispanic women. The association promotes Latina leadership and empowerment and advocates on issues relating to education, health and employment opportunities for Latin women and youth in the community.
