Growers are invited to display roses

COLUMBIANA — Growers of roses are invited to participate in the 48th annual Columbiana Rose Show to take place at the National City Bank on Main Street during the annual Columbiana Street Fair.

Growers must know the name of each rose entered in the show. Roses will be accepted for display from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 6, and judging will take place at 1:15 p.m. More than 150 roses were judged in the 2007 show.

Public viewing will begin at 3 p.m., and members of Columbiana Rose Society will be present to answer questions and suggestions on rose growing. The roses will be sold at 8 p.m.
