Murder suspect arrested

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force and the Crime Suppression Unit arrested James A. Hudson Jr. at 11:10 a.m. Monday at the Western Reserve Transit Authority bus terminal on West Federal Street, downtown.

Hudson, 35, of Youngstown, is charged with murder and abuse of a corpse in the death of Jajuan Robbins, 20, who was found with his throat cut inside a house at 2803 Cain St. on Wednesday.

Authorities arrested Hudson on a murder warrant that was issued Friday, and he has been taken to the Mahoning County jail. No other incidents occurred at the bus terminal as the arrest was being made there.

Man stabbed in robbery

NILES — A man is in stable condition after being stabbed in the neck during a robbery outside Timber Creek Apartments.

Police are looking for two men involved in the robbery and aggravated assault. Todd Margo, 19, had just completed a pizza delivery to an address on the 1000 block of North Road S.E., when he was stabbed Sunday night.

Police said Margo, walking back to his car, was approached by two men who demanded $20. Some time during the transaction, Margo gave the men another $20 and was stabbed in the neck. A witness saw the two run and hide behind a red Pontiac Grand Am.

Police found Margo covered in blood, holding a towel around his neck. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Voters league meeting

WARREN — The League of Women Voters of Trumbull County will have its first membership meeting of the year at 6 p.m. Monday at the Trumbull County Board of Elections, 2947 Youngstown Road S.E.

Kelly Pallante, elections board director, and Jodi Fiorenzo Dibble, deputy director, will give a tour of the board of elections and a presentation on voter ID requirements, voter registration, absentee ballots and other topics.
