Shirley Brown, Richard Sallmen to wed Sept. 19

• ENON VALLEY, Pa. — Shirley A. Brown and Richard D. Sallmen Sr., both of 159 Estate Lane, are announcing their engagement and plans for their upcoming marriage.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 3 p.m. ceremony Sept. 19 at Bakerstown Presbyterian Church in Bakerstown, Pa. Invitations will be issued for the wedding and for a reception to follow at The Atrium in Prospect, Pa.

Miss Brown is a daughter of Barbara A. Brown, 101 Providence Court, Valencia, Pa., and the late Arthur R. Brown. She graduated from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in communications and is the assistant design chief at The Vindicator.

Mr. Sallmen, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, is a son of John and Shirley Sallmen, 1027 Old Princeton Road, New Castle, Pa. He attended Shenango Valley School of Business and is an ultrasound technician with Ipsco Koppel Tubulars Corp. in Beaver Falls, Pa.
