State St., has the following activities available: Monday, breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. ($2), preregistered computer class at McKinley House at 9:30, beginner bridge at 10, arthritis exercise at 11 ($1), quilting and cards at 1 p.m., Monday night cards, games and food at 4 ($2) and TOPS meeting at 5; Tuesday, square dancing at 9:30 a.m., lunch at 11:30 ($3 for members and $4 for guests) and cards and 500 tournament, blood pressure screenings and pinochle at 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday, tai chi at 9 a.m., lunch at 11:30 ($3 for members and $4 for guests), VIP lunch ($5) at 11:30, bingo at 1 p.m. and cards at 2:30; Thursday, line dancing at 9:30 a.m. ($3), lunch at 11:30 ($3 for members $4 for guests), pinochle at 1 p.m. and Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m.; and Friday, movies at 9 a.m., boccie at Waddell Park at 9:30, arthritis exercises at 11 ($1), potluck lunch ($2) at 11:30, corn hole at noon, mixed chorus at 1 p.m. and hand and foot cards and other games at 1. Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following activities: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club at 8:30 a.m. and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday: oil painting at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon and digital club at 2 p.m.; Wednesday: watercolor class at 10 a.m., tai chi at noon and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; Thursday, woodcarvers and Watch Our Weight Club at 9 a.m., exercise at noon and line dancing at 1 p.m.; and Friday: Texas Hold ’em. Special events are: Tuesday, New Middletown Fun Day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at park and Iron City bus trip; Wednesday, Lake Milton Fun Day picnic at 10 a.m. in park; and Thursday, Boardman Fun Day at 10 a.m. The center, in cooperation with Camelot Arms and Meridian Arms Living Center, will sponsor a fun day at Wedgewood Community Center on New Road, Austintown, behind Wedgewood Plaza, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month beginning Sept. 24.
