Learn falconry history at Hotel Hershey
HERSHEY, Pa. — A falconry program has opened at The Hotel Hershey in Pennsylvania.
The program educates participants about the birds and the sport’s history, and includes outdoor free-flight demonstrations, a demonstration of the bird’s hunting techniques and a chance for a photo with a bird.
The program is available Wednesdays through Sundays until Labor Day and weekends in September and October. The cost is $85 for ages 13 and older and $70 for ages 8 to 12. The cost of the experience includes admission to nearby ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park.
Participants must be at least 8 years old, and you don’t have to be staying at the hotel to take part.

Cultures, traditions merge at WorldFest
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville is hosting its sixth annual WorldFest on Friday and Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
The free festival, Aug. 29-30, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., will take place on the city’s Belvedere at Fifth and Main streets.
Nonstop music at “A World of Performances” will showcase everything from gypsy jazz to reggae, with dance and music from salsa, merengue, Celtic, African, flamenco, Indian and Chinese traditions.
About 100,000 people are expected to attend. The event will feature 20 vendors offering cuisine from around the globe and chef Nancy Russman’s “Cooking Up Cultures” demonstrations.
On Friday, over 700 people will take their oath of U.S. citizenship at a naturalization ceremony.
