Babbaro radio show puts focus on seniors

BOARDMAN — Financial planner Angelo M. Babbaro has launched a weekly radio show, which airs on WSOM-AM 600 at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays. The show can be replayed online at www.thebabbarogroup.com.

Babbaro, president of the Babbaro Group, said he created the show out of concern for his clients, some of whom have been with him for more than 20 years. “They become part of your family and just as I worry about my own, I worry about their health, their wealth and their happiness,” he said.

While visiting his clients in their homes, Babbaro said he often gets hit with questions and concerns that aren’t limited to finances. “Many times I’ll leave them and I can’t rest until I find the answers they’re looking for,” he said.

The Angelo Babbaro Radio Show is a 30-minute program geared toward seniors. It examines a variety of topics, including diet, health care and fitness, finance, legal matters and leisure. Guests to date have included, Atty. Rob Ruse; Dr. Jon Saadey; Larry Bradley of Blue Sky Therapy; Terry Reardon of Reardon-Higgins Funeral Homes and Dr. David Podolsky of the Ankle and Foot Care Centers.

In addition to his financial business, Babbaro is also a Sinatra-style singer who performs at his financial planning seminars. He has also presented Valentine’s Day concerts at Stambaugh Auditorium.
