Among the most highly touted events of the upcoming community theater season is a limited run engagement of “Block 5,” the award-winning Holocaust drama by local playwright J.E. Ballantyne Jr.

Previously staged at the Oakland in 2005, the Ballantyne-directed revival will feature many of the same performers from the original production.

Presented in conjunction with the Museum of Labor and Industry’s concurrent Oskar Schindler exhibit, “Block 5” will be staged at the Fairview Arts and Outreach Center on Youngstown-Poland Road from Sept. 5-14.
