CROATIAN PENSIONERS

X Croatian Pensioners of Mahoning Valley will meet at noon Thursday at Lodge 66 Croatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Members are reminded to take their gas bills, and a talk on heating gas will be presented by a representative of Common Sense Energy. Veronica Fabanish will accept reservations for the Sept. 18 Fall Fest until Sept. 14. The cost for the buffet is $11.50, and checks should be made payable to Croatian Pensioners. X Holy Name Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Aug. 24 at Founders Hall for lunch, cards and bingo. August birthdays will be acknowledged, and there will be drawings. Hostesses are Ann Banyots, Ann Baginy, Mary Soltis and Katherine Kendall.

LIBERTY 55-PLUS

X Kay Herberger will preside when Liberty 55-Plus Seniors meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church hall, Cardinal Drive, Liberty. Hostesses will be Josephine Pallotta and Marjorie Reynolds. A presentation on “Creative Movement” will be by Susan Miracle, and there will be a 50-50 drawing and cards.

X Local 1199 Retirees will have a regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the union hall.

X Retirees of Local 2243, USWA Copperweld Steel (S.O.A.R. Chapter 1-28-10) will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday for a picnic at the Moose Club Pavilion, 674 Main St., Warren. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish. The cost for nonmembers is $5.

MARTHA LUPSE

X Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. X REAC 3298 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the aerie on South Raccoon Road. Melva Day will preside, and she and Kay Jugenheimer will serve as hostesses. Birthdays and anniversaries will be recognized. New members are welcome.

ST. CHRISTINE

X St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church banquet room with Ruth Infante presiding. Lunch will be served by the committee members, Ann Smith, Nancy Olsavsky, Tony Crish and Frances Tomaskovick. Reports will be given by Mary Jo Theis, treasurer, and Carol McClain, secretary. There will be a 50-50 raffle, and cards and bingo will follow.
