Youngstown schools need parent volunteers

YOUNGSTOWN —The city school district is looking for some parents willing to volunteer their time. Dr. Wendy Webb, superintendent, said the district would like to increase parental involvement in various activities during the school day. Parent volunteers must undergo training and a background search, she said. The district is offering a two-day training session at 9 a.m. Aug. 25 and 36 at the central office building, 20 W. Wood St. Participants must attend both days. Those interested can call the administration building at (330) 744-6900.
