Golf outing to raise funds for Toys for Tots

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Bantam Marine Detachment 743 will conduct a golf outing at 1 p.m. Sept. 26 at Oakview Golf Club, 160 Ralston Road, to raise funds in support of the 2008 Toys for Tots campaign.

The cost for the four-man best ball scramble will be $100 per golfer. Included will be 18 holes of golf with a cart, hot dogs at the turn and a steak dinner.

In 2007, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation provided 16.7 million toys for 7.5 million less-fortunate children nationwide, and in Butler County, Pa., and surrounding areas, the Bantam Marine Detachment distributed 11,394 toys to 1,899 children.
