GM to put millions into Lordstown plant


LORDSTOWN – General Motors said it will officially announce a multi-million dollar investment into its Lordstown Complex on Thursday. The announcement ceremony will include the release of the first photos of the Chevrolet Cruze, GM’s next generation small car, which will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show next month. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Key leaders scheduled to participate at the ceremony include GM Chairman & CEO Rick Wagoner; UAW International Vice President, GM Department, Cal Rapson; Ohio Governor Ted Strickland; Ohio Lt. Governor Lee Fisher; and the joint UAW-GM leadership team of the Lordstown Complex.
