WARREN — Michael Seelman is the new interim chief operating officer for Trumbull Memorial Hospital, effective Saturday.
He replaces Todd Hickey, who has accepted a leadership position in Greenville, N.C., according to a Forum Health news release.
Seelman will continue as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Forum Health Services, a position he has held since early this year. In 2006, Seelman was promoted to vice president of operations for Forum Health Services.
Seelman began his employment with Forum in 2002 as corporate director of Forum Health at Home, which was recently purchased by Celtic Healthcare of Mars, Pa.
“Throughout his career at Forum Health, Michael has brought great vision and leadership to our hospital system,” said Lowell Johnson, president and chief executive officer.
Johnson said Seelman was instrumental in developing and implementing plans for operational and financial improvements in addition to his strong focus on quality patient care and successful clinical outcomes, he said.
“My goal is to make a difference for physicians, employees, the hospital and the community by continuing the high level of quality care delivered at TMH, and by retaining work force through high paying, quality jobs,” Seelman said.
