Foot bridge over I-680 might be taken down

YOUNGSTOWN — The Department of Public Works announced that there will be discussion of the possible removal of the pedestrian bridge over Interstate 680 at Elberen Street, during a public meeting on Monday.

Residents are invited to attend the meeting at Our Lady of Hungary Church Hall, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave. at 6 p.m.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will have representatives in attendance to answer questions, hear concerns and give the details regarding the situation. The bridge is in need of repair and the possibility of complete removal will be discussed.
