SALEM ITALIAN FESTIVAL Event schedule
The Salem Italian Festival runs Friday and Saturday in downtown Salem. The stage will be in the parking lot on Pershing Avenue across from the Timberlanes. Other performers will be around the intersection of Penn Avenue and Pershing. Penn Avenue will be closed to traffic from State Street to Peach Alley. Pershing will be closed from the Independent Hose Co. to Lundy Avenue.
FRIDAY
ON THE STAGE
4:45 p.m.: National Anthem, welcome and blessing. 5-8 p.m.: Rocky Chirchiglia Band. 8-11 p.m.: Coz Serapene salute to Dean Martin. 10:15 p.m.: 50/50 Drawing.
ON THE STREET
5-8 p.m.: John Gabriele on the accordion. 8-11 p.m.: Stormn Normn, a one-man band.
SATURDAY

Noon: Welcome. 12:15 p.m.: Mayor Jerry Wolford and recognition of Vincent Domincetti, 98, of Salem as the Salem Italian Citizen of the year. 1 p.m.: Little Miss and Little Mister Pageant. 2-5 p.m.: Stormn Normn, a one-man band. 4 p.m.: Corn Hole Contests. 5-8 p.m.: Rocky Chirchiglia Band. 8-11 p.m.: Coz Serapene salute to Dean Martin. 10:15 p.m.: 50/50 Drawing.

11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Saturday: The Salem Historical Society will be showing Italian items. 1-5 p.m.: John Chambers, a D.J. 1:30 p.m.: Kids’ Pizza-Eating Contest. 2 p.m.: Adult Pizza-Eating Contest. 3 p.m.: Spaghetti-Eating Contest. 5:30-8 p.m.: John Gabriele on accordion. 8-11 p.m.: Stormn Normn, a one-man band. 9 p.m.: Polka Contest.
