Miranda-Planey engagement is announced

• CANTON — Sophia J. Miranda and Mitchell R. Planey, both of Canton, are announcing their engagement and plans for their upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is a daughter of Michael ad Barbara Miranda of Jackson Township, and the prospective groom is a son of Helen M. Planey of New Middletown and the late Michael R. Planey.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 1 p.m. ceremony on Aug. 30 at St. Peter Church in Canton. Later that evening, a reception will take place in their honor at Skyland Pines Rustic Lodge.
