YANKEE LAKE — Country Music Television is coming to Truck Night at Yankee Lake on Friday to film the wedding of Kimberly Platt and Heinz Pangles II, both of Portersville, Pa. The wedding will air in a January episode of the CMT series “My Big Redneck Wedding.”

The couple will be wed in the Git-R-Done Chapel at Yankee Lake at 8 p.m., as part of the weekly Truck Night event.

The couple are regulars at Truck Night, said Cindy Dickson, who handles marketing for Yankee Lake.

“They applied for it a long time ago, and didn’t hear anything for a while, but CMT contacted them two weeks ago,” said Dickson. “It was very quick, overwhelming.” The couple had to send a short video to CMT answering a series of questions as part of their application.

Dickson said the couple loves Truck Night. “It’s their joy and their life to run in the mud,” she said.

A CMT film crew has been following the couple around for the past two weeks as they make wedding preparations, including ordering food and a cake, getting their hair done ... even their bachelor and bachelorette parties.
