Rib Smoke Off Auction

The Columbiana County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities will have its second annual Rib Smoke Off Auction from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday at Csonka’s Sports Bar, 6885 state Route 45, Lisbon. Proceeds benefit people with developmental disabilities in Columbiana County.

Vendors will be barbecuing ribs. Texas Roadhouse, the 2007 defending champion, will return, as will the people’s choice award winner, The East Liverpool Motor Lodge. Other food will be available, as will children’s activities.

A new event is a poker run. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the first motorcycle starting out at noon. The first-place prize for the run is a Harley basket worth $250.

The Classic Car show will register vehicles at 11 a.m. Dash plaques for entered vehicles will be available while supplies last.

Live entertainment will include Paul Lake with square dancing, Dan Bing with music and Karaoke, and the Route 45 Band.

Sports items will be auctioned at 3 p.m. Among the items are autographed footballs from Lou Holtz and Larry Csonka, a replica Notre Dame football jersey worn by John Huarte, the winner of the 1964 Heisman Trophy, and a picture of the Steelers Steel Curtain autographed by Mean Joe Greene, Ernie Holmes, L.C. Greenwood and Dwight White.
