HUBBARD
Aug. 8
Theft: Wooden pallets were stolen from Hubbard Coal Supply, 828 N. Main St.
Assault: Police received a call about a man who pushed a woman during a fight near North Main and Walnut streets.
Drugs: Authorities had a search warrant for a residence in the 300 block of West Liberty Street regarding the possible cultivation of drugs.
Aug. 10
Theft: A Youngstown-Hubbard Road woman reported a global positioning system device stolen from her vehicle.
Aug. 11
Domestic violence: Officers arrested an Orchard Avenue man and charged him after getting a report of a possible fight regarding drugs.
Burglary: A man returned to his Elmwood Drive home and discovered property missing.
Breaking and entering: An employee with First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave., reported a break-in.
LIBERTY
Aug. 8
Assault: A Sampson Drive woman told officers a Youngstown man, 19, became enraged and punched her during an altercation. The accuser had redness on both sides of her face.
Recovered property: A 1995 Chevrolet Lumina that had been stolen in Youngstown was found abandoned near Belmont Avenue with damage to its steering column.
Bomb threat: A Monticello Boulevard resident reported a man said over the phone a bomb had been planted in an office. Several tenants were evacuated, though the report didn’t indicate any device was found.
Misuse of a credit card: The manager of a township apartment complex alleged two employees made unauthorized purchases with a company-owned credit card.
Burglary: A man noticed someone had entered his Naylor-Lloyd Road home via a window before ransacking a room and taking a small folding knife and a loaded .25-caliber handgun.
Criminal damaging: A Scott Lane woman reported someone tossed eggs at her vehicle and smashed its front windshield, causing $750 worth of damage.
Aug. 9
Theft: A Monticello Boulevard man reported a compact-disc case and 20 CDs stolen, for a loss of $320.
Drugs: A Youngstown man, 24, faced two counts of drug abuse, and was arrested on a warrant charging him with telecommunications harassment, after being pulled over on Belmont Avenue. Twenty OxyCodone tablets were found, police said.
Trespassing: A 46-year-old Youngstown man was cited on a criminal trespassing charge after a Belmont Avenue gas station employee reported the man was on the property panhandling despite his having been warned to stay away.
Aug. 10
Criminal mischief: A James Lane woman told police two men shot her trailer and shed with paint balls.
Assault: A Youngstown man reported two people assaulted the accuser in the 2900 block of Northview Avenue, causing a small lump to the back of his head.
Aug. 11
Domestic violence: A warrant was issued against a Youngstown man, 35, after officers responded to a situation at a Belmont Avenue business. A woman alleged her husband punched her left eye during an argument in their vehicle.
Drugs: While responding to a complaint about two people smoking marijuana in the 2900 block of Biscayne Drive, authorities charged an 18-year-old Girard man with drug abuse after saying he removed from his pocket a small plastic wrap containing suspected marijuana. Charges were pending against a 15-year-old Youngstown girl.
Burglary: A 25-year-old Youngstown woman faced charges of burglary and receiving stolen property after a North Gate Road woman discovered someone had forced open her rear door and stole property. The neighbor admitted entering the residence and removing a set of curtains and glass ware; a charcoal grill belonging to the accuser also was at the woman’s home, the report said.
Assaults: Officers responded to a fight between eight to 10 people in the 500 block of Ventura Drive, where a woman alleged a neighbor shoved her. The accuser’s daughter was struck in the head and neck as she tried to break up the fight, police said.
GIRARD
Aug. 10
Assault: A man told police a 44-year-old Girard man struck him in the face, knocking him to the ground, at a Market Street business during a dispute about a debt the accuser said was owed him.
Aug. 11
Assault: An elderly Patricia Drive woman reported a gunshot from the apartment above hers and that a bullet came through her ceiling. The woman was not hit or injured.
Menacing: A North Ward Avenue woman told police a 48-year-old Transfer, Pa., woman threatened over the phone to kill everyone at the accuser’s residence.
Drugs: An 18-year-old East Broadway Avenue woman was taken into custody at her residence after police responded to a disturbance. She was charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments and admitted having taken heroin, the report said.
Domestic violence: A 17-year-old East Second Street girl was charged after her mother alleged the teen threatened to stab her with a knife when the mother disciplined the girl.
Menacing: An East Palestine man, 40, was charged with menacing and disorderly conduct after the landlord of a North Avenue residence told authorities a former tenant threatened him as part of a dispute related to an eviction.
Aug. 12
Burglary: A woman found out someone had entered her North Lorain Avenue residence and stole an Xbox 360 system and four video games.
Criminal mischief: A Woodlawn Avenue woman said someone moved a lawn figurine from her front yard to a neighbor’s.
Truck theft: A man in the 100 block of South Davis Street reported the theft of his 1984 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.
Arrest: A Salem woman, 28, and a 32-year-old Girard man faced disorderly-conduct charges after officers responded to an intoxicated person running into traffic. The woman continually yelled at nearby residents; her husband interfered with the arrest of the woman, the report showed.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 900 block of Washington Avenue accused her estranged husband of kicking in her rear door and causing $350 worth of damage.
