Rebecca Cashier and Chad Boger plan a beach wedding in California

• The engagement of Rebecca Cashier and Chad Boger, both of Lakewood, Calif., and plans for their upcoming wedding are being announced by their families.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows at 4 p.m. Aug. 31 on the beach at Belmont Shore in California. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and for a reception to follow at the Del Mar Room at Belmont Shore.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Debbie Curley of Poland and Robert and Mary Ann Cashier of Youngstown. She graduated from Ohio University at Athens with a degree in mechanical engineering and is a systems engineer with The Boeing Company in Long Beach, Calif.

Parents of the groom are Denny and Pam Boger of Athens. He is a manufacturing engineer and graduated from Ohio University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
