Aug. 5
Weapons/Underage alcohol use: Two Canfield boys, 17 and 14, were arrested on Surrey Lane, after police found the 17-year-old was carrying a sword. Both he and his companion were seen walking between the area of the cul-de-sac on Surrey Lane and the path to the rear of Colonial Plaza. The pair had been drinking.
Aug. 7
Identity fraud: A 25-year-old Columbiana man told police his car was stolen and somebody was arrested by Canfield Police in his stolen vehicle. The driver had the victim’s identification.
Aug. 8
Theft: Homeowners at a residence in the 400 block of Fairground Boulevard reported a digital camera and documents were taken.

Theft by deception: At a home on Norquest Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.
Aggravated menacing: A 14-year-old minor displayed a knife, threatening two ten-year-olds.
Burglary: Currency and Playstation 2 games were stolen at a home in the 2000 block of Bainbridge Street.
Draino bomb: A detonated Draino bomb was reported at a home in the 200 block of DeHoff Ave.
Theft: $41.36 in fuel was stolen at the B.P. Gas station, 890 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from an auto at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Recovered property: Knives, lighters, and scissors were confiscated at Austintown Fitch High School at the Barack Obama townhall meeting.
Theft: Two catalytic converters were stolen from Austintown Auto Sales, 5275 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Two boys were caught stealing at K-Mart, 4475 Mahoning Ave., and released to their father.
Theft: A Sony cell phone was taken from Sunbrite Laundromat, 4224 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: Entry was gained to two vacant townhouses in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Passing a bad check: A $13,000 check was returned for insufficient funds for tires and wheels at Player Wire Wheels (B R Wholesale Tire), 116 S. Meridian Road.
Theft: A payroll check was stolen at McDonald’s, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Identity theft: An identity of someone living in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive was used in Florida.
Telephone harassment: Phone harassment was reported at a residence in the 500 block of Winthrop Drive.
Aggravated menacing: Two women are suspected of aggravated menacing at a home in the 60 block of N. Roanoke Avenue.
Theft: Currency was stolen from a home in the first block of Pineview Avenue.
Theft: Three females, one adult and two juveniles were arrested for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave. The juveniles were released to their parents and the adult was placed in Mahoning County Jail.

Drug offense: An Austintown woman was arrested on charges of drug abuse for possession of marijuana, which police found in her car at Mike’s Lounge, 5531 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: An Austintown man was arrested on drug abuse charges for possession of cocaine at Mahoning Avenue at Westchester Drive.
