Team registration ends Thursday for Hillside fundraiser run

WARREN — The fourth annual Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital 5K Team Challenge is Saturday. The 5K and 1-mile run or walk, cosponsored by WKBN 27 First News, is a fund raiser to benefit Hillside’s Adapted Sports Program for the physically challenged. The course starts at Hillside and winds through the suurounding residential area. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m. People of every age and ability can enter, but must form a team of three or more. Each participant receives a free T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for teams that are the largest, the fastest, that raise the most money, wear the most creative attire and exhibit the most spirit. Food, refreshments, as well as health screenings and other activities for adults and children will be available. Teams are encouraged to pre-register by Thursday. The cost is $200 per team.
