State police suspect teens in up to 15 home invasions

SHARON, Pa. – Two city boys, age 13 and 16, have been accused in more than a dozen home invasions, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The two teens have been charged with numerous counts in the burglaries and thefts in July.

According to a police report, the boys are suspects in as many as 15 home invasions in Union Township.

The boys have been formally charged in two incidents, but more charges are pending, the report says.

Nearly all the burglaries occurred during the early morning while the victims slept, the report says. Money and jewelry were stolen, but no injuries have been reported.

The boys remain in the Keystone Adolescent Center in Greenville and await their hearing later this month.

HOWLAND — The Menagerie, Trumbull County Animal Welfare League’s thrift and gift shop, 8044 E. Market St., has announced new hours.

The shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.

Antique tractor show scheduled for weekend

WARREN — The Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County will have its 14th annual antique tractor show on Saturday and Sunday at the Ali Baba Grotto Show grounds on Perkins-Jones Road, off the state Routes 5/82 bypass. The gates open at 8 a.m. and will close at dark.

Both days will feature a tractor rodeo, parade, Chinese auction, flea market, raffles, prizes and tractor pulls. Event prizes include up to $600 in cash, two tractors, or a yearlong membership with the club.
