Rib cook-off will feature food and fun

YOUNGSTOWN — The Chevrolet Centre’s parking lot will play host to the Miller Lite National Rib Cook-Off Thursday through Aug. 17.

Rib-cooking teams will come from across America, as well as the Mahoning Valley, to compete for the title of best ribs.

Local rib teams will include Armadillo’s, Guy’s BBQ and the Royal Oaks Tavern.

A full slate of live music has been arranged, with headliners The Clarks (Friday) and Kansas (Saturday).

Five-hundred Gold Circle seats will be available at $20 each for Kansas. Call Ticketmaster at (330) 747-1212, go online at Ticketmaster.com, or buy in person at the Chevrolet Centre box office.
