Golden pillars

X An 11 a.m. liturgy will precede Tuesday’s monthly meeting of the Golden Pillars at noon at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center on Belle Vista Avenue. Eleanor Hnat will preside. Birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and bingo and cards will be played. Members are asked to take their own place settings.

HAPPY WANDERERS

X Members of Happy Wanderers are reminded to take a sack lunch to the meeting Friday at noon at Corner House Christian Church in Hubbard; coffee and tea will be provided. Those whose last names begin with the initials A-L are asked to take cookies.

Dave Mirkin of Comfort Keepers will present the program. The hospitality committee will be Irene DeStasio, Rose Ashman, Theresa Knebel, Loretta Tatarka, Lois Singer and Audrey Creed. Greeters will be Bill and Charlotte Haydn, Bill and Alice Jugenheimer and Lucille Hlas. Volunteers will be recruited to plan a holiday dinner to take place in November.
