At the fair Events schedule
The 55th annual Lawrence County Fair begins Monday and continues through Saturday. The fair is open each day from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission includes rides and is $6 Monday through Friday before 2 p.m. and $8 after 2 p.m. Admission is $8 all day Saturday.
MONDAY
Grange Day, Community Building
1-4 p.m., Ident-a-kid fingerprint identification program, Community Building.
1-4:30 p.m., Games with prizes, plus crafts, Community Building.
6:30 p.m., Shenango High School Band, on the midway.
7 p.m., Recognition of Grange youth, Community Building.
7 p.m., Stock Tractor Street Legal 4x4 Pulls, grandstand. $3 admission to grandstand.
TUESDAY
11 a.m., Ages newborn to 24 months, dress in bug costume, Community Building.
11:30 a.m., Golden Hills Bell Ensemble, Community Building.
5 p.m., Bike Nite, at the pavilion. Bikes come in a separate gate. Admission is $5 a bike. Classic-rock trio Retromaina will perform from 6-9 p.m.
6:30-8:30 p.m., Lawrence County Community Band, Community Building.
7 p.m., Stock Car Football, grandstand, $3 admission.
8:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., David Whalen Family, bluegrass band, Community Building.
WEDNESDAY
9 a.m., Children’s Bike Races and Safety, grandstand.
11 a.m., Ages 2-7, dress as favorite movie star, Community Building.
5 p.m., Car Cruise, at the pavilion. Cars enter through a separate gate. $5 for two people. The Dorals will perform from 6-9 p.m.
6-9:30 p.m., The Great Gospel Music Night, featuring the Tom Walker Family, Hearts to Heaven, Don Robinson, Sweet Spirit and Ken Metric.
7 p.m., Wilmington High School Band, midway.
7 p.m., Horse Shoe Contest, horse shoe pit behind Community Building.
7 p.m., Figure 8 Race, compact car demo derby, grandstand. $3 admission.
8 p.m., Calf dress-up and cheese auction, livestock show arena.
THURSDAY
11 a.m., Ages 6-12, unusual pets, Community Building.
Noon, Ages 3-8, pedal power pull, Community Building.
2 p.m., Ages 5-14, talent contest, pavilion.
4 p.m., Kids’ Farm Olympics, pavilion.
6:30 p.m., Laurel High School Band, midway
6-7:30 p.m., Brigadoon Highlanders Drum & Pipe Band, Community Building.
7 p.m., Full Pull Truck Tractors Pull, grandstand. Admission, ages 6 and younger, $4; 7 and older, $7.
