City house red-tagged
YOUNGSTOWN — The house at 1028 Oak St. was red-tagged as uninhabitable, and the resident, John R. Beach Jr., 57, was arrested over a dispute involving his dog.
Dave Nelson and Sean Toohey, Mahoning County deputy dog wardens, were at the residence Wednesday checking out a report of a dog chasing children. Beach is alleged to have yelled at Nelson, “I will kill you if you shoot my dog. I know your name.”
Nelson and Toohey removed the dog from the house that had no water or electricity, reports show.
Beach is charged with aggravated menacing and was issued citations by a housing officer based on the condition of his property — high grass and debris in the yard such as trash and tires.
