Quilt group schedules lecture and luncheon

CANFIELD — That Quilt Group I Belong To has scheduled a lecture and luncheon for Sept. 27 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield.

Doors open at 10 a.m., and tea and cookies will be served. At 10:30, the speaker, Chris Marty, of Thymbles Quilt Shop, will present “150-Year History of Quilts,” featuring a display of quilts and a brief history of each one and the period they represent. At noon, the luncheon will be served. On the menu: Southern baked chicken, pasta and meatballs, oven browned potatoes, green beans with garlic, chef tossed salad, rolls, cheesecake, coffee, and hot or iced tea.
