Leadership group picks new board, officers

YOUNGSTOWN — Leadership Mahoning Valley has selected three new board members for 2008/2009. They include Dr. Cynthia Anderson, vice president of student affairs, Youngstown State University; Atty. Bonnie Deutsch Burdman, JCRC director, Jewish Community Center; and Debbie Eppinger, private client services, Chase Bank.

Board officers for 2008 are chairman, Robert Lackey, agent at First place Insurance Agency; past chairman, Robert L. Faulkner, Sr.; vice chairman, John Finizio Jr., president of St. Joseph Health Center; secretary, Dr. Roan Craig, superintendent of Mahoning County Career and Technical Center; and treasurer, Pete Asimakopoulos, regional president/CEO at First National Bank.

Trustees reappointed to new terms include Walter “Buzz” Pishkur, president of Aqua Ohio; and Bruce Sherman, president of Sherman Creative Promotions, Inc.
