ACTORS

“Children of Eden.” Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron. Please call and schedule audition appointments for 7-11 p.m. Monday or Tuesday. Callbacks are 7-11 p.m. Wednesday. 2008-09 CLO Mini Stars and Academy Scholarships. CLO Academy of Musical Theater, Penn Avenue Place, 130 CLO Academy Way, Pittsburgh. Auditions for AcademyScholarships are for age 10-18. Must demonstrate talent and potential ability in acting, dancing or singing. Auditions for Mini Stars must be age 12-16 and must possess exceptional skills in acting, dancing and singing. Must commit to all mandatory rehearsals and performances throughout the year. Applicants must submit the required application form and written essay by Aug. 18. No late applicants will be accepted or considered. Students must present a three-minute presentation highlighting their performance skills consisting of one, two or all of the following disciplines: song, monologue and/or dance. MUSICIANS

Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are ongoing for section strings: violin, viola, cello and bass are being held for the 2007-08 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 p.m. Thursday at the Tri-C’s Metropolitan Campus Auditorium in downtown Cleveland. Audition requirements are one solo piece and one orchestral excerpt of your choice.
