REUNIONS | Former classmates, families plan get-togethers

• Boardman High School Class of 1983 is planning a reunion for Thanksgiving weekend. • Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1946 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Denny’s in Austintown. All classmates and their spouses are welcome.

• Chaney High School Classes of 1947, 1948 and 1949 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Aug. 12 at Molly’s on Salt Springs Road.

• East High School Class of 1954 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Johnny’s Restaurant on Market Street. Spouses are welcome.

• The 99th Western Pennsylvania area Cory reunion will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at tables 25 and 26 in East Palestine City Park. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish and an inexpensive, unwrapped item for an auction.

• The 125th Eich family reunion will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pymatuning State Park, near Jamestown, Pa. The 12 children of Friederich Ludwig Eich, and his wife, Catharina Elisabetha Steckel, who immigated to the United States, held the first reunion in 1884 after the death of their parents. • The 74th annual Ellsworth School reunion is scheduled for Saturday at Ellsworth VFW Hall on Ellsworth Road. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish for the 12:30 p.m. lunch, table service and an item for a white-elephant auction. Beverages will be provided. All teachers and students of Ellsworth Township schools and their families and classmates are invited.

• St. Dominic's School reunion will take place Sept. 13 in the school (now used as the parish center) and include dinner, entertainment with The Great Pretenders, and a silent auction. Mass will be at 5 p.m. at St. Dominic Church, hors d’oeuvres will be served from 6-7 p.m., and a dinner dance will take place from 7-11 p.m. The cost is $30 per person. • Struthers High School Class of 1954 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday at Denny's restaurant on state Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates and guests are welcome, and no reservations are needed.

• Descendants of Cornelis Piet and Geerjte (Vet) Wilms will gather for the 100th annual Wilms family reunion at 1 p.m. Sunday in Firestone Park in Columbiana.

• Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1993 has planned a 15th-year reunion for Aug. 23 at McMenamy's. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Aug. 9. For more information or tickets, call (330) 307-2689.
