Vacant house destroyed by fire on East Side

YOUNGSTOWN — The vacant house at230 Byron St. on the East Side was deliberately set on fire around 3 a.m. today, the fire department said. Firefighters found the entire second floor in flames when they arrived. Neighbors said the people who had lived there moved out on Monday. Damage was set at $6,000, a total loss.
