The business offers a variety of services, including cuts, coloring, relaxers, perms, pedicures, facials, full-body waxing and massotherapy.

Pet Lodge USA opens, cares for cats and dogs

BOARDMAN — Pet Lodge USA of Boardman has opened at 8063 Market St. The owner is Scott McClasky. The business offers day care and overnight care for pets.

The cat facility includes an indoor playroom. For dogs, the business has an indoor playroom and an outdoor playground.

ATV World’s new location opens in New Middletown

NEW MIDDLETOWN — ATV World has opened at a new location, 10646 Main St. The business, which is owned by the Kephart family, offers new and used vehicles, plus parts and accessories.

The owners said they moved from 1652 Columbiana-Lisbon Road, Columbiana, because the new location had a vibrant business area. The Kepharts opened the business in 2000.

Great Clips to set up shop in Niles location

NILES — Great Clips recently leased space at the Shoppes at Niles on Youngstown-Warren Road, said Kutlick Realty, which represents the landlord. The business will open later this year.

Jimmy John’s serves up subs, club sandwiches

BOARDMAN — Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches will lease space next to Five Guys Famous Burgers on Market Street across from the Southern Park Mall, Kutlick Realty said. Jimmy John’s specializes in subs and club sandwiches and has about 690 restaurants across the nation.

Parents: Help kids with their search for jobs

NEW YORK — You taught them how to tie their shoelaces and helped them with their homework. But how involved should a parent be when it comes to their child’s job hunt?

John Salveson, co-founder of executive search firm Salveson Stetson Group, said offering advice and guidance into the work force is the most important tool a working parent can offer.

“Finding a first job has become much more difficult than when many of us embarked on our careers,” said Salveson. “Parents who want to help their children should be prepared to play an active role in their kids’ first job searches.”
