Hayes Middle School broken into

YOUNGSTOWN — Two open windows were found at Hayes Middle School on Ford Avenue after the burglar alarm sounded at 11:45 p.m. Monday, police said. Patrolman Josh Kelly and his dog, Helo, were called to check the building for suspects. No one was found. The custodian arrived and discovered that a vending machine had been broken into and an office ransacked. A more thorough inventory is planned.
