Davis-Stanton vows will be said in Boardman rite

• Planning an October wedding are Melissa Sue Davis of Austintown and Mark Edward Stanton of Baton Rouge, La., whose parents are announcing their engagement.

She is the daughter of Thomas E. and Susan C. Davis, also of Austintown, and he is the son of Jon and Lois Stanton of Salem.

In an open ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 11, the couple will exchange vows at Christ Church in Boardman. Invitations will be sent for their evening reception at The Georgetown, also in Boardman.

The bride-elect works for Simon Roofing & Sheet Metal Corp. of Boardman as a customer-service team leader.

The prospective groom works for Simon as a branch manager in Baton Rouge.
