Sobriety checkpoint set for Friday night

A sobriety checkpoint will be held somewhere in Mahoning County from 10 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday.

The Mahoning County Operating Vehicle Impaired Task Force will target impaired drivers.

Also, look for increased enforcement and education efforts by the task force from Aug. 15 through Sept. 1 for the “Over the Limit, Under Arrest” crackdown. An impaired driving simulator will be at the Canfield Fair sponsored by the task force, Mahoning Safe Communities and Designated Drivers 4 Hire.
