Outreach Day assists with foreclosure concerns
YOUNGSTOWN — The State of Ohio’s Borrower Outreach Day returns to Youngstown Aug. 12 to assist Mahoning Valley residents concerned about foreclosure. An earlier event on March 7 was canceled midway through the event due to a snowstorm.
The next event will be from 2 to 8 p.m. at Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. It is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Commerce in partnership with Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray and the Ohio Housing Finance Agency.
Several mortgage loan representatives will meet one-on-one with borrowers who are having difficulty making their mortgage payments.
3 new members chosen for Leadership ‘08-‘09 board
YOUNGSTOWN — Leadership Mahoning Valley has named three new board members for 2008-2009. They are Cynthia Anderson, vice president of student affairs at Youngstown State University, Bonnie Deutsch Burdman, JCRC director at the Jewish Community Center and Debbie Eppinger, private client services at Chase Bank.
The 2008 board officers are: chairman, Robert Lackey, agent, First Place Insurance Agency; past chairman, Robert L. Faulkner Sr.; vice chairman, John Finizio Jr., president of St. Joseph Health Center; secretary, Roan Craig, superintendent, Mahoning County Career Technical Center; and treasurer, Pete Asimakopoulos, regional president of First National Bank.
Reappointed to new terms as trustees were Walter Pishkur, president of Aqua Ohio, and Bruce Sherman, president of Sherman Creative Promotions.
