• GIRARD — Stefanie Zifchak, a daughter of Christine and John Zifchak Jr. of Girard, and Adam Hanley, a son of Patricia and Robert Hanley, also of Girard, were united in marriage July 12 during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Rose Church. The Rev. Peter Haladej officiated.
Afterward the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at Tiffany’s Banquet Center in Brookfield.
They postponed their wedding trip to Antigua until later this month and live in Newport News, Va.
Lace, pearls and crystal beading enhanced the bride’s satin A-line gown. It featured a halter neckline, basque bodice and castillion train.
Jessica Zifchak, the bride’s sister and honor attendant, wore a tea rose gown, as did the bridesmaids, Erin Meyer, a sister of the groom, and Lori Ferreri, the bride’s cousin. Flower girl was Brooke Mellott.
Serving as best man was Christopher Jennings, and groomsmen were Greg Meyer, the groom’s brother-in-law; Justin Carland; and Steven Bassett. Ring bearer was Brock Mellott.
Mrs. Hanley graduated from the College of Wooster with a bachelor’s degree in religious studies/education and is a third-grade teacher with Newport News Public Schools.
Mr. Hanley is a summer associate with the firm of Frost Brown Todd in Columbus. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics/philosophy at the College of Wooster and is third-year student at the College of William and Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Va.
