SECOND HARVEST Produce distribution

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley will distribute 60,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables this week to low-income Mahoning Valley residents. Produce to be distributed includes peaches, fresh green beans, corn, greens, radishes, beets, zucchini, cucumbers and cabbage. The distribution dates, times and locations are:

Monday: 1:30 p.m., New Hope Baptist Church, 437 Albert St., Youngstown.

Tuesday: 2:30 p.m., Community Resource Center, 940 Pennsylvania Ave., East Liverpool.

Wednesday: 1:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 244 S. Broadway Ave., Salem; 4 p.m., Pleasant Valley Share Outreach, 2055 Pleasant Valley Road, Niles.

Thursday: 1:30 p.m., Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 8148 Ulp St., Masury.

Saturday: 9 a.m., Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave., Youngstown.

Summer total: The food bank has distributed more than 600,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Contributors: The produce is made available through a partnership between Second Harvest and Ohio farmers and legislators.
