Photos display love of water

For a landlocked community, we sure seem to be attracted to watery places.

Wow.

People here really, really, really like the water.

We received the most photo submissions since we’ve been doing Snapz, with the widest variety of styles and subject matter. Yet, they all involved water in some fashion.

Since there were far too many to get onto the Life&Work pages today, we’ve got a huge gallery of images (63 in all) at Vindy.com/snapz.

Next month

Now, we get to the challenging part.

Can you match or exceed the enthusiasm you had for water with any other topic?

We know there are a lot of gardeners out there. Pretty soon, people will be taking their giant produce to the local fairs.

What we’re interested in is any fun photo involving gardening. Some ideas include the kids planting “crops,” Grandpa tending to his tomatoes or Grandma showing off her prized zucchini.

The veggies don’t have to be the biggest or the best. The photos don’t need to be works of art. We just want you to show us what it’s like to be a gardener in the Valley.

When you send us photos by e-mail, please make them jpeg files, the larger the better. What appears huge on the Web becomes tiny when it’s used in print.
