Nature Lovers Garden Club reveals flower show results

YOUNGSTOWN — Nature Lovers Garden Club had an annual flower show July 19 and 20 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.

Entries were judged by Rose Marie Roth, Beverly Patrick, Dorothy Haddox, Pearl Marlos, Joyce Dunbar and Millie Campean.

National Garden Club rosettes for horticulture went to Martha Murphy, the Horticultural Excellence Award; Sheila Bowman, the Collectors Showcase Award; and Murphy, Shirley Liga and Bowman, the Award of Merit.

Top NGC rosettes in design went to Dolly Vivalo, designers choice; Bowman, table artistry; and Beverly Italiano, petite.

Capturing blue ribbons in horticulture were Dianna Mullins, Bowman, Carol Kolenich, Murphy, Mary Mihalick, Liga and Gloria Shick, all of Nature Lovers; Linda Vuletich, Ikebana; Stan Vuletich, Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society; and Marlos, Gleaners.

Blue ribbons in design went to Vivalo, Mullins, Bowman and Italiano of Nature Lovers and Marlos of Gleaners.
