MERCER COUNTY Sentencings
These sentences were handed down last week in Mercer County Common Pleas Court:
Maurice Davis Jr., 23, of Brookfield Avenue, Masury, two to 11 months in jail for fleeing or attempting to elude officers, a misdemeanor. On Oct. 21, 2007, he fled from a police officer who signaled him to stop in Pymatuning Township.
Christine Deets, 28, of Latham Road, Sandy Lake, one to two years in the Mercer County jail followed by three years’ probation for three felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance. She sold between 4.5 and 8.3 grams of cocaine to another person on three occasions in 2006 in Pine Township.
Christopher Glaister, 30, of Quince Street, Mercer, three years’ probation for unlawful contact with a minor, criminal attempt-dissemination of obscene materials and criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies. He transmitted explicit sexual materials over the Internet to state agents posing as female minors in May and September 2007.
Montayra Kennedy, 20, of University Heights, Ohio, 11 months’ probation for misdemeanor simple assault for an assault in the lobby of Stewart Hall at Thiel College, Greenville, in March 2007. She grabbed another woman by the hair and pulled her to the ground, causing the victim’s head to hit the concrete floor. She then continued hitting the victim’s head against the floor and punched her head several times, causing head injuries and requiring the victim to seek medical attention.
Danielle McKinney, 26, of Sample Road, Hermitage, two years’ probation for two counts of misdemeanor retail theft. In 2007, she stole a $100 digital picture frame from Macy’s, 3515 E. State St., Hermitage, and also altered price tags on $73 worth of clothes at Wal-Mart, 1275 North Hermitage Road, Hermitage, to make them appear to cost only $58.
Donald Perrine, 20, of Tenthill Road, Sandy Lake, 21 days to one year in jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. In September 2007, he operated a Chevrolet Cavalier owned by Walker Chevrolet, 3286 S. Main St., Sandy Lake, without the owner’s consent.
Joseph Pomponio, 20, of Porter Road, Greenville, 215 days to 23 months in jail followed by three years’ probation for statutory sexual assault. He engaged in sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl at a West Salem Township address when he was 19.
Patrick Wilkerson, 45, of Maple Drive, Greenville, four to 23 months in jail for one consolidated count of retail theft, a felony. He stole a total of $111 worth of gasoline on four separate occasions in April and May 2007 from Sheetz, 270 Edgewood Drive Extension, Pymatuning Township, by pumping gas, then driving away without paying.
Teedray Craig, 22, of Logan Avenue, Sharon, one year’s probation for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. In September 2007, he grabbed a pregnant woman by the face, pulled her hair and grabbed her arm, causing the victim abrasions and bruising. The incident took place in the 300 block of East Connelly Boulevard, Sharon.
Gina France, 35, of West Market Street, Mercer, one year’s probation for misdemeanor retail theft for stealing $2.48 worth of food from Sheetz, 105 N. Erie St., Mercer, in October 2007.
Joseph Kirkland, 423 E. Budd St., Sharon, 11 to 23 months in jail followed by two years’ probation for retail theft for stealing $59 worth of clothing in June 2007 from Dollar General, 1679 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage. The offense is a felony because it is his third or subsequent crime.
