• POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Jessica Cuevas, a native of Campbell, and Frederic Burgos, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., were united in marriage during a March ceremony.

The bride’s parents, also formerly of Campbell, are Emil and Maggie Cuevas of North Lauderdale, Fla., and the groom is the son of Loic and Joelle Bon Saint Come of Pompano Beach.

The couple exchanged vows at 7:30 p.m. March 14 at the home of the groom’s parents.

The bride wore a white cocktail-length dress that featured thin straps and was adorned with a satin-trimmed bodice. She carried a bouquet of orchids and roses.

A reception will follow in Ohio at a later date.

The bride graduated from The American Institute of Cosmetology in Fort Lauderdale and is a licensed aesthetician.

The groom graduated from the University of West Indies-Guyana in Martinique with a master’s degree in English studies.
