Jammers use HRs to drop Scrappers

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — The Mahoning Valley Scrappers fell to the long ball Saturday night dropping a 7-5 contest to the Jamestown Jammers.

The Scrappers allowed a pair of home runs, a two-run shot by Brandon Turner in the second inning and a three-run shot by Robert Taylor in the fourth, in falling to 20-25 in the New York-Penn League’s Pinckney Division.

The division-leading Jammers improved to 28-15.

Lonnie Chisenhall sparked the Scrappers with a pair of doubles and drove in three runs.

Mahoning Valley will return home to open a two-game series against State College beginning with a 6:05 contest today at Eastwood Field.
