X A meeting and annual picnic for 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Oak View with John Texter presiding. Cancellations are required by Monday with Kay Shabella, (330) 755-0459. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and cards and bingo will be played.

X Canfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will have its annual picnic at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church (enter on east side). Members whose last names begin with A–H are asked to take a salad, and those I–Z are asked to take a casserole; each is to take table service, serving utensils, and cards or games.

Directors will meet at 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the church. Payment for the Boston and Martha’s Vineyard trip is due Sept. 8. For more information, call (330) 332-4791.

X Retirees of Ajax Magnethermic will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square on Belmont Avenue. Guests are welcome.

X Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Blue Wolf Banquet and Catering on Tippecanoe Road with Betsy Koneval presiding. Dinner will be served at a cost of $11.50. Members will participate in a program on making bird feeders to be presented by Peggy Flynn from Mahoning County Recycling. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner.

X Youngstown State University Retirees will meet for their monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s on Route 224 in Boardman. All retirees and their friends are welcome.

X A meeting of Girard Seniors is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the senior center. A children’s choir from Youngstown will provide musical entertainment.

MARTHA LUPSE

X Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Ruby Farkas will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation.
