Cobalt sales top July 2007 totals

Sales of the Chevrolet Cobalt in July were the lowest since March but were still strong enough to top last July’s sales by 4 percent.

General Motors said today it sold 16,410 Cobalts in the U.S. last month, up from 15,850 in the same month last year. The Cobalt is produced at GM’s Lordstown complex.

GM said its overall sales fell 27 percent last month.
